Why I started Siddhi Seva Foundation
A personal journey shaped by family, parenthood and the belief that talent exists everywhere—even when opportunity does not.

As parents, we do everything we can to give our children the best possible start in life. We want them to be safe, well-fed, educated and surrounded by opportunities that allow them to grow, thrive and pursue their dreams.
As a parent myself, I often reflect on how fortunate my own daughter is. Yet there are many children who are just as capable, talented and deserving, but may never receive the same opportunities simply because of the circumstances they were born into.
This realisation became the catalyst for Siddhi Seva Foundation.
The values that shaped me
Growing up, I later learned that my father and his elder brother had quietly sponsored the education of several children. They did not seek recognition. They simply believed it was the right thing to do.
My father’s journey—from a village home shared with five siblings to becoming the Chief Financial Officer of a large organisation—showed me what becomes possible when ability is met with education, encouragement and opportunity.
A conversation that changed everything
Small gestures can carry enormous meaning
A close friend introduced me to someone who had grown up in an orphanage in Bengaluru and later devoted much of his life to supporting children’s centres. His stories stayed with me—especially the way children treasured gifts many of us might consider ordinary.
During a later visit, we bought mangoes for children at three centres. As we were leaving, I saw several girls taking photographs of themselves holding the mangoes they had received. Their joy stopped me in my tracks.

The birth of the foundation
Transforming compassion into action
When I returned home, I realised that personal contributions alone would always have limits. If I wanted to make a sustainable difference, I needed to create something that would allow others to join the journey and contribute towards a shared purpose.
Siddhi Seva Foundation was established to provide meaningful opportunities through education, child wellbeing and community-led initiatives. Success is not measured only by how many people are reached, but by the quality of the change created.
My hope is that the foundation continues to grow, inspires others to give back and teaches future generations—including my own daughter—that kindness, gratitude and service are among the most valuable gifts we can leave behind.
